Job Description

This position is a member of the Site Management Sustainability, Safety, Health and Environmental (HSE) Team. The role involves supporting, developing, and executing HSE processes and activities, including incident prevention, emergency response, contractor and guest safety, training, and other safety activities as needed. The technician will assist the HSE team with the transfer of safety procedures to new templates or updated revisions, coordinate repair and calibration of emergency response equipment, and support special projects such as safety audits or inspections.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with Incident Prevention Committee activities including quarterly campaigns, report running, and near-miss follow-up.Review hazardous work permits.Transfer Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures to new templates and update revisions.Perform Contractor & Guest Program checks, including ISN status, training check-ins, and review of contractors logged into the Receptionist lobby tool.Assist managers with 'On-Call' Yellow Dot scheduling and team calendar updates.Support safety events and wellness initiatives such as Safety Day, Earth Day, blood drives, and safety campaigns.Coordinate vehicle repairs, licensing, and ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for use.Organize equipment storage trailers and rooms.Manage emergency response instrumentation repairs and calibrations.Follow up on equipment review action items.Support the Site OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and follow up with HSE team members.Assist with updating emergency maps.Develop and update training slides for various safety programs.Update safety program documentation to the newest versions.Conduct safety island spot checks and follow-ups.Provide training for emergency response procedures and Styker chair training.Optionally, serve as a member of the Emergency Response Committee.Support the Ergonomics and Office Wellness Committee.Perform SDS entry spot checks for STL and warehouses.Manage and order office supplies.Essential SkillsGood interpersonal skillsPositive attitudeSafety-related experienceTrack record of working well on a teamGood computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheets, learning management systems)Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independentlyAbility to lift 25-40 lbs if neededAdditional Skills & QualificationsCollege degreeExperience in safety and healthTeaching/training experienceOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00
