In this position, you will be joining teams locally and across the country, working on a diverse portfolio of projects with our Water Services Group. Your tasks could include:

Under light supervision, gathers, compiles, and analyzes land use, water supply and quality, natural resource conditions, population growth, economic forecasting, and other related data to evaluate basic to moderate complexity environmental effects for water resources planning studies, feasibility studies, environmental impact studies/reports, and permit applications.

Performs field investigations, surveys, studies, or other research in order to compile and analyze data for environmental impact studies.

Under light supervision, prepares environmental studies (e.g., NEPA and CEQA documents, field reports, feasibility studies, etc.) of basic to high complexity.

Performs soil, water, air, etc. sampling, wetland delineation, wildlife/habitat surveys, and similar site investigations and documentation of results.

Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and construction staff to implement the approved approach (e.g., restoration, remediation, mitigation etc.).

Provides advice and expertise on selected project approach.

Performs oversight of construction activities to ensure compliance with approved approach.

Reviews land use plans for compliance with applicable local, state and federal environmental and conservation laws.

Escalates any legal compliance issues as necessary.

Contributes to firm's knowledge management by assisting in the development of white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.

Provides technical guidance, training, and serves as a mentor to junior staff to support their development and growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior staff on project work, surveys etc.

May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.
