We have an opening in our Dallas Office Environmental Department for an Environmental Project Manager. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall project management of Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, which may include various types of properties such as undeveloped land, agricultural, residential, multi-family, retail, and commercial/industrial. The Environmental Project Manager is a key role responsible for coordinating drilling, sample/data collection, subcontractor tasks, evaluating data, and compiling written reports for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages and conducts Phase II Environmental Site Assessment projects in accordance with generally accepted industry practices in the same geographical areaCreates and updates proposals for various projects across multiple geographiesAnalyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projectPrepares cost estimates, proposals, and invoicesMeets project budgets and schedulesEnsures that project deliverables meet quality standards and that project outcomes meet the client’s expectationsEffectively solves problems as they arise during the project lifecycleAnswers client questions and assists them promptlyOrganizes client-provided documents and files for tracking and operations purposesCommunicates with clients and owner representativesSchedules project site visits and other necessary field workConducts environmental business development, cross-selling, networking, and marketing Operates a computer proficientlyHandles special client requests regarding specific report format and billing requirementsFollows safety proceduresCompletes other duties as may be assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screening3 or more years’ experience in project management, consulting, or similar with an A/E/C firmBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or a similar majorProficient with evaluating sites under the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) and/or the Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) Program.Highly organized and able to multi-taskSelf-driven and dynamic in a team environmentGood verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management softwareAbility to read and write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as writing routine reports and correspondence and speaking effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clientsAbility to function in a high-stress environment Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram formPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or a related fieldGeoscientist-in-Training (GIT) Certification Licensed Professional Geoscientist (PG) or Professional Engineer (P.E.)40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER training and certification Local networking with strong client relationshipsAbility to cross-sell between internal service linesUES is the #1 fastest-growing AEC firm on The Zweig Group’s Hot Firm list in 2021, 2022 & 2023.
