Terracon's Omaha, Nebraska office is looking for a talented addition to our Environmental Department
This position requires a mid to senior-level environmental professional responsible for leading environmental projects varying in size and complexity. Primary duties will be to provide consulting services for a broad array of environmental projects, including limited site investigations, site characterization and risk assessments, and remedial design, installation, and operation. and maintenance as part of State Led and Voluntary Cleanup Programs and EPA RCRA and Superfund programs. This includes leading environmental site investigations, design and development of plans and specifications, engineering analysis, observation, inspection, and reporting.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Plan, schedule, and implement technical scopes of work related to environmental site assessments, risk-based corrective actions, and remediation designs/implementation with minimal oversight.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to define project scope, schedule and budget and develop proposals.Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Work as part of a local team in Omaha, as well as within regional and national teams for various national account clients and coach and mentor project staff and assist them to solve problems.Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections.Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines by creating and modeling a safe work environment and safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. Coordinate effort with APR and SME to make sure they have the opportunity to engage throughout the project, particularly at critical junctures. This may include preparing calculations, designs, reports; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, geology, or environmental related discipline. Working knowledge of environmental regulations.9 or more years of experience in Environmental Services.
