Your Opportunity
Join Stantec’s collaborative, high-performing team and play an integral role in managing projects and/or tasks involving wetlands, wildlife, ecological and regulatory needs. This role will report to a Senior Project Manager and support a variety of linear corridor and renewable energy clients. Stantec is seeking an environmental project manager/wetland scientist to join our team in Blue Ash, OH. Projects will support wetland delineations, 404/401/Section 10 Permitting, NPDES permitting, and wildlife and habitat surveys.
Your Key Responsibilities
Serve as a lead for waterway/wetland regulatory projects. Provide technical expertise in field data collection (e.g., wetlands, habitats, wildlife, water quality), assessment, planning, regulatory consultation, and environmental permitting. Prepare documentation pursuant to NEPA, USACE, IDEM, USFWS, and other federal, state, and local regulatory/permitting programs. Develop local and state erosion and sediment control and NPDES permits. Proficient with working in and developing map sets in ArcPro. Responsible for projects budgets, scope changes and schedule commitments. Participate in business development activities such as proposal development and client meetings. Opportunities for water quality, fish, and wildlife surveys possible. This position requires limited (10% or less) overnight travel to work locations.Your Capabilities and Credentials
Proficient with ArcGIS software for field data collection and map generation. Experience supporting linear corridor and renewable energy projects. Experience conducting wetland delineations, using at least one of the USACE Midwest, Northeast and Northcentral Regional Supplements. 38hr USACE Wetland Determination and Delineation training. Strong problem-solution orientation, detail oriented and resourceful. Flexible, team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Effective time management and follow-through, with the ability to simultaneously work on and potentially lead multiple tasks subject to project deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel. Valid Driver’s License.Education and Experience
