Environmental Research Analyst - Legal Support Job Details: We are seeking an Environmental Research Analyst with extensive understanding of chemical physical and chemical properties, the fate and transport of chemicals in the environment, and their impact on ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of biodegradation for different ingredient classes and functions. Company Overview: You will support top-ranked trial and litigation firm serving health, science, and technology companies from 17 offices in the U.S. and U.K. The firm is particularly well known in the product liability area, especially for our work on behalf of pharmaceutical, medical device, technology, and automotive companies. Key Responsibilities: + Collaborate with expert witnesses on all environmental safety endpoints to ensure robust internal and external safety programs. + Lead external influencing activities on the environmental safety of products and waste streams, and on the acceptance of methods and models by regulators. + Lead external influencing activities on the environmental safety of ingredients through retained experts and co-counsel. + Learn and practice project management skills with the potential to directly advise clients in litigation and regulatory matters. Skills & Qualifications: + Master’s or PhD degree in a science or engineering discipline. + Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate data to diverse technical backgrounds, including within and across functions and management levels. + Strong collaboration skills and the ability to develop productive relationships across functions and geographies spanning various levels in the organization. + High adaptability and flexibility, with excellent learning capabilities and an open mindset. + Previous environmental lab experience on environmental safety assays is desirable. + Strong background in environmental science, including environmental engineering, environmental risk assessment, environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology, and/or chemical engineering, analytical chemistry, or toxicology, with a proven track record of teamwork capability.
