Job Description

We are currently seeking several junior-level environmental Scientists to join our team in Bartow. You will support a variety of Emergency Response, Remediation, and environmental due diligence projects with a split of 75% field work and 25% office work. This role primarily focuses on Emergency Response projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or physical scienceMust have at least a year of environmental remediation, site assessment, or emergency response experience.Must be willing to perform labor-intensive responsibilities on emergency response projectsValid Florida Driver’s License requiredOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training with updates preferredStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environmentStrong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is a MUSTUnderstanding environmental regulations related to contaminated sites, drinking water, and related regulationsAbility to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignmentsUnderstand standard methods for analyzing various chemical parameters including applicable procedures, detection limits, and quality assurance techniquesProficient in the use of a computer to access, input, and review test data in spreadsheets, tables, graphs, and various software programsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others including clients, agency personnel, and the public, including strong written and verbal communication skills.Must be comfortable and physically able to perform the field duties of the job in an outdoor Florida environment and around hazardous materials.
