Environmental Scientist
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our water resources group. Responsibilities include: Assisting with wastewater/water discharge permitting and industrial pretreatment programs including completing permit applications Assisting with development of technically based local limits and implementation of pretreatment programs Conducting surface water quality studies Writing technical reports Completing field surveys and site visits Consulting with clients and resource agencies Assisting with business development through client relationships Some travel will be required The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field, and at least five years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: Completing permit application forms Creating figures required to be submitted with applications Reviewing and validating analytical data for water, non-potable waters, and biosolids Assisting with Multi-Sector General Permits and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans compliance and implementation Developing pretreatment programs and technically based local limits Conducting surface water and wastewater sampling Interpreting federal and state environmental regulations Working with state agency personnel Conducting meetings If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
