Job Title: Environmental ScientistJob Description We are seeking an Environmental Scientist with a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering. The ideal candidate should possess experience with the Field Procedure Manual for sampling events and 1-2 years of experience in remediation projects. This role involves a variety of fieldwork tasks such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and operating and maintaining remediation treatment systems. Additionally, the candidate will evaluate chemical data and contaminant fate and transport, install wells, conduct aquifer testing, and monitor groundwater. The position also includes groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation of environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting. Responsibilities + Conduct fieldwork, including soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling + Oversee drilling and contractors + Operate and maintain remediation treatment systems + Evaluate chemical data and contaminant fate and transport + Install wells and conduct aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring + Evaluate and implement groundwater and soil remedies, including cost estimation and design calculations + Provide environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance services + Analyze data and prepare maps, tables, and figures + Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals Essential Skills + Experience with the Field Procedure Manual for sampling events + 1-2 years of experience in remediation projects + Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering + Proficiency in environmental science, site remediation, soil sampling, and groundwater sampling + Strong report writing skills + Knowledge of OSHA 40 regulations Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team + Effective time management skills to balance multiple tasks simultaneously + Ability to articulate questions, complications, and technical challenges promptly and thoroughly + Experience communicating scientific concepts verbally and in writing + Leadership capabilities, including leading small groups and directing individuals + Prior research experience in environmental, geology, or hydrogeology + Prior internship experience in environmental consulting + Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel Work Environment Our company culture emphasizes collaboration and mentoring. Our team is growing, and you will be an integral part of the Groundwater Action Group, with fieldwork constituting up to 100% of the time and overnight travel up to 40%, all expenses reimbursed. The position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training, along with medical monitoring, all provided by the firm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
