Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist who is willing to work on a diverse range of projects and field work assignments. The successful candidate will provide field work and office-related support to projects related to site investigations and environmental inspections. You will work under the guidance of experienced staff to assist with field work tasks for ongoing projects throughout the five boroughs, as well as assist in the preparation of project planning documents, data evaluation, and report preparation. The role requires working efficiently both individually and within project teams, and tracking and meeting contractual and regulatory deadlines.
ResponsibilitiesProvide field work and office-related support for site investigations and environmental inspections.Assist experienced staff with field work tasks for ongoing projects throughout the five boroughs.Assist in the preparation of project planning documents, data evaluation, and report preparation.Work efficiently both individually and within project teams.Track and meet contractual and regulatory deadlines.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.5+ years of relative experience in the health and safety industry, environmental compliance.Experience with environmental inspections.Knowledge in environmental science, environmental field work, and Hazwoper certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsAdditional certifications in environmental science or related fields are a plus.Work Environment
You will perform environmental inspections in the field and work on a team of project managers and environmental scientists. This role involves collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team that brings extensive expertise in sustainability, decarbonization, building codes, resiliency, and inspections. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
