Job Title: Field Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced environmental professional with a background in soil sampling to oversee various projects between New Jersey and New York City. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in sampling or working at an environmental consulting firm. Responsibilities + Oversee contractors and excavators + Conduct field sampling as needed + Perform soil sampling + Write detailed reports + Develop and follow material handling plans + Execute plans set by the project manager + Measure out cells and stake them on the site + Assist samplers as needed + Ensure attention to detail and clear, well-written communication Essential Skills + Experience in soil sampling + OSHA 40-hour certification + Environmental science background + Geology knowledge + Experience in construction and environmental remediation + HAZWOPER certification Additional Skills & Qualifications + Health and safety background + In-situ soil treatment experience + Proficiency in report writing Work Environment The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, on various sites depending on project needs. If no project needs, the person can work remote/from home. The role requires being the eyes and ears on-site, ensuring all activities comply with project plans and safety regulations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
