Job Description
This position offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the largest environmental companies. You will spend 70% of your time in the warehouse, learning and becoming familiar with environmental-specific equipment, and assisting with the preparation of orders. The role includes taking around 15-20 inbound calls a day for equipment rental, understanding customer needs, providing quality customer service, and building rapport with customers to grow relationships and develop future business. Additional responsibilities include documenting rentals and customer conversations into the CRM, monitoring inventory, shipping and receiving customer orders, and staying updated on environmental industry trends to prospect new business leads.
ResponsibilitiesWork in the warehouse to learn and familiarize with environmental-specific equipment.Assist with the preparation of orders and take 15-20 inbound calls daily for equipment rental.Understand customer needs and provide quality customer service.Build rapport with customers to grow relationships and develop future business.Provide excellent product knowledge to customers and answer questions regarding products, services, or the industry.Document all rentals and customer conversations into the CRM.Monitor inventory and ship/receive customer orders.Stay updated on environmental industry trends to understand the market and help prospect new business leads.Respond quickly to and resolve any issues communicated by clients.Assist in troubleshooting and cleaning environmental equipment in the warehouse.Perform tests on equipment to ensure top quality standards are met.Document test findings and report any identified issues.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or environmental science program preferred.0-1 years of experience working in the environmental field.Knowledge of the environmental industry.Hands-on mentality with a tendency to tinker and make repairs.Customer service experience in sales, retail, restaurant, etc.Ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships with others.Strong oral and written communication skills.Organized and able to multitask.Ambitious and competitive personality.Ability to adapt to an ever-changing workplace.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of CRM systems.Knowledge of applications such as Indoor Air Quality Testing, Particulate Monitoring, Air Handler Balancing and Efficiency, Confined Space FID, Personal Sampling Pumps, Sound and Noise Testing, Combustion Analysis.Familiarity with companies like TSI, Testo, BW/Honeywell, 3M/Quest, Photovac, Enmet, Ion Science, Sensidyne.Work Environment
The rental division is part of the parent company, which houses environmental equipment for industrial hygiene, remediation, safety, and instrumentation. This position is open due to a 12% increase in company growth from last year, with an expectation to grow another $400k in revenue by 2025. The office houses around 30 employees and has an office in Utah. The candidate will have their own cubicle space with a computer and office supplies provided. The first 6 months will be spent in the warehouse learning the equipment and inventory. After the initial 6 months, the focus will shift more towards client relationships and consulting clients on using the right equipment. The working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, and the dress code is business casual. No travel is involved.
