Environmental Scientist/Environmental Engineer

The successful candidate must have experience in remedial operations including but not limited to the operation and maintenance of Point-of-Entry Treatment (POET) Systems. This person will also have the ability to independently support environmental sampling activities, perform subcontractor oversight, and possess strong writing skills to support preparation of project reports. Strong interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members including client representatives, regulators, and APTIM colleagues alike. **What you can expect from APTIM:** + Work that is worthy of your time and talent + Respect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at home + Dogged determination to deliver for our clients and communities + A voice in making our company better + Investment into your personal and professional development **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Operate and Maintain POET systems. + Ability to work independently to complete project tasks, both in the field and in the office. + Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to treatment systems. + Collection, documentation, and interpretation of field data for management review and subsequent incorporation into project documents. + Experienced in the use of various field sampling and monitoring equipment, including knowledge of equipment calibration and maintenance. + Prepare and review detailed reports + Provide input on technical, project, and safety issues. + Ensures conformance to applicable technical standards as well as company policies and procedures. + Perform all assigned tasks in strict accordance with APTIM Safety Policies and Procedures. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific Discipline (Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, etc.) + Possess 3-5 years of relevant experience. + Possess or have ability to obtain Professional Registration such as PE or PG. + Possess or have ability to readily obtain OSHA HAZWOPER certification. + Ability to wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sites; lifting and physical work will be required. + Must be able to work in the field in all types of field conditions/weather. + Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines. + Ability to occasionally travel to other project sites that would require overnight stays. + Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record required. **Who we are and what we do:** APTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
