Environmental Service Aide

If this description speaks to you, continue reading about the opportunity of Environmental Services Aide at The Meadows. This is a full time, 40 hours per week position 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.

Position Summary: The Environmental Service Aide is responsible for cleaning and maintaining resident's apartments and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities include:

Maintain upkeep and appearance of all common areas (i.e. activity room, medical office, marketing offices, meeting rooms, clubrooms, staff lounge, all corridors and bathrooms). Refill all paper product dispensers throughout commons. Cleans and washes equipment and responsible for the proper care and storage of work carts. Maintains a clean, neat, germ free and safe environment for residents, personnel and visitors. Dry dust or polish furniture. Sweep and wet mop floor in the kitchens and bathrooms.  Wash sinks, tubs, and showers; disinfect toilets inside and out, polish chrome and metal grab bars and door handles. Clean windows inside and out, weather permitting.Vacuum all carpeted areas. Completes room set ups and break downs of room set ups daily. Cleaning vacant and turnover of apartments, cottages, apartments and bungalows.Responsible for assisting with the cleaning of Guest Suites as needed. Deliver Roll Away beds to rooms.Makes necessary changes on monthly calendar as need arises with permission of manager or supervisor and alerts residents of scheduled appointments. Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) binder and locations. Any other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.  

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in Environmental
Services preferred but not required. On the job training provided.Minimum of one year working with the elderly or similar environment preferred.  Requires tact and courtesy, ability to read, write, and speak English, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
