After 6 months of service as an EVS Tech I, candidates are qualified for an EVS Tech II opening. This also comes with a 6% pay increaseAfter a year of employment, a candidate can then become qualified for an EVS Tech III. This promotion comes with a 8% pay increase.

An EVS Professional will be responsible for:

General cleaning and routine maintenance tasks to maintain safe, sanitary, and orderly conditionsHandling soiled linen, hazardous waste, and chemical cleaning productsAdjusting to varying work conditions by applying established proceduresWearing an approved uniform and protective equipment relative to product handling is requiredThe use of chemical cleaning products that are potentially harmful if used improperlyFollowing Universal Precautions and Blood Bourne Pathogen Standards to reduce the potential of exposure to contagious diseases

Minimum Qualifications: 
Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and otherwise manipulate 50 pounds
Able to engage in physical activity much of the day
 
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Housekeeping and/or hospital experience
