What will you be doing in this role?
The Environmental Services Lead (EVS - Lead) works in conjunction with department leadership. The Lead demonstrates a keen attention to detail and role models best in class customer service to all patients, customers, co-workers, physicians and leadership team members. The Lead provides guidance and direction on all Environmental Services workflows and Environmental Technicians on their assigned shift, is qualified to expertly perform all EVS workflows and responds to EVS requests. The Lead will articulate employee performance observations and provide feedback to department leadership team in support of employee evaluations. The Lead will provide hands on technical training and support for all Environmental Services Technicians.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitates the distribution of announcements and policy and procedure updates and other pertinent information to staff.Performs check-in and check-out of pagers, phones, and equipment in accordance with department policy and procedure. Support Management with the supply control and repairs of equipment.Responsible for cleaning patient and non-patient rooms applying department cleaning proceduresResponsible for cleaning patient and non-patient assigned areas by following departmental procedures and standards. Determines proper dilution and use of all chemicals.Ensures timely response to all EVS requests, logs into the department’s dispatching system immediately in accordance with established guidelines. Documents and reports trends to management.Response to notifications from the EVS dispatch tracking system, Responder5, and other programs within the department. Responds to the request within the departmental guidelines or provide additional resources to high frequency areas as needed to efficiently complete assignment.Promotes positive interpersonal (customer) relationships with fellow employees, physicians, patients and visitors. Treats these individuals with courtesy, dignity, empathy and respect. Consistently displays courteous and respectful verbal and non-verbal communications.Provides training, guidance, direction and oversight of select Environmental Services Technicians and Floor Care Technicians.#Jobs-Indeed

Education:
High School Diploma - PreferredWork Experience:
Two (2) years cleaning experience in a hospital, school or hotel highly preferred
