The TEP Environmental Services Aide position is a part-time Transitional Employment position. The responsibilities of the Environmental Services Aide include weekly staff office cleaning, bathroom cleaning, and special project cleaning (as assigned).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ The Environmental Services Aide performs the general and aseptic cleaning and sanitizing of the St. Luke’s Penn Foundation Residential Programs staff offices and bathrooms.
+ Penn Villa: staff office and 3 bathrooms.
+ Village of Hope: 4 staff offices and 4 bathrooms.
+ Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to departmental procedures.
+ Sweep and mop floors.
+ Vacuum carpeted areas.
+ Dusts surface areas, air vents, woodwork/chair rails, and baseboards in offices and bathrooms.
+ Cleans glass interior windows, woodwork, toilets, washrooms, and fixtures.
+ Cleans high touch surface areas such as but not limited to door handles and light switches. Cleans bathroom counter, sink, shower, and floors.
+ Removes trash from areas to designated trash stations.
+ Special projects as assigned by residential program manager.
+ Ability to follow all applicable schedules, sanitation, and safety requirements.
+ Maintains assigned area in a neat, clean, and sanitary condition.
+ Supply inventory; check cleaning supplies and restock as needed, inform supervisor of supplies needed.
+ Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
+ Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
+ Demonstrates/models the Network’s PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers.
+ Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
+ Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
+ Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
+ Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
+ Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Walks for up to 6-7 hours/day; 1 to 4 hours at a time. Stands for 1-2 hours/day; 0 to 1 hours at a time. Occasional firm grasping. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasionally carries up to 50 lbs. Frequent pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. Occasionally stoop, bend, squat and kneel. Occasional crouching. Frequently reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and seeing as it relates to general and near vision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ High School Diploma or GED preferred.
+ Cannot be currently receiving residential services from St Luke’s Penn Foundation Residential Programs: Penn Villa and/or Village of Hope.
+ Must be a member of the St. Luke's Penn Foundation Wellspring Clubhouse to apply.
