Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.Posting Details
Shift: Weekends/holidays/evenings/ are required. 1st shift 6:30am-3pm; 2nd shift 2:30-11pm. 3rd shift 10:30-7am. On-call only during snow storms but person remains at propertyFull Time 40 hrs/weeklyScope
As a Floor Care Tech you need to know how to:Maintain floor sanitation in patient rooms and public areas duties including but are not limited to: shampooing and extraction of carpets, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing of floors.Operate equipment including but not limited to: Wet/Dry Vacuum, scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, buffing machine and extraction machines.Disinfect all public areas duties include but are not limited to: sinks, toilets, spot washing walls, damp mop, and refill paper products, stairwells, damp disinfecting all areas, disinfecting handrails, replacement of blinds and shampooing carpets, buffing or waxing of floors in areas where needed.Follow proper procedure for separating regular waster versus bio hazardous waste, disposal of sharps container, and storage of clean and dirty linens.
