The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in our hospital facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques, environmental services, and custodial responsibilities to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. Duties + Perform routine floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing floors to maintain a clean and polished appearance. + Operate floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and effectively. + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards while performing cleaning duties. + Sanitize high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a healthy environment. + Conduct regular inspections of floors to identify areas needing repair or special attention. + Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations across the facility. + Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs promptly. Job Requirements: + Previous experience in environmental services, custodial work, or commercial cleaning is preferred. + Knowledge of proper floor care techniques and products is essential. + Familiarity with OSHA standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices. + Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. + Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods. + Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
