Environmental Services Manager
Environmental Services Manager - ( 3307217 ) **Description** **Summary** Perform a broad range of activities associated with the support, development, implementation and delivery of Environmental Services. Implement and monitor new procedures and systems. Directly oversee supervisory staff and work closely with them to provide quality and timely services and to achieve department initiatives. Oversee and ensure environmental compliance in regards to regulations, governing, hazardous materials and waste. Actively supports the delivery of high quality customer service. Collaborate with leadership of hospital departments, administration, clinicians, and suppliers. **Key Responsibilities** * Supply ordering and equipment maintenance are monitored to meet department and hospital unit objectives. * Project work and cycle cleaning schedules are in place and performed to established standards. * Department compliance is monitored and maintained to meet state and federal regulations. * Medical and hazardous waste is disposed of in accordance with established procedures. * Recycling process and sustainability measures are developed and maintained to meet established objectives. * External and internal disaster site responsibility is planned for and managed during the event per established protocols. * Staffing levels are monitored and adjusted to meet department demands. * Staff direction and support is provided to ensure adherence to department policies and procedures. * Quality control measures and systems are developed and adjusted to meet department objectives. * Equipment needs are assessed; vendors identified and managed to meet customer goals. * Vendor relationships are managed with cost analysis product trial guidelines. * Customer service programs are developed and implemented to achieve defined service levels and standards of quality. * Committee leadership and engagement derives achievement of organizational and department goals. * Team members are hired, mentored, and continually developed to achieve stated goals for performance. Performance evaluations are completed accurately and timely in accordance with organization standards. * Budget is monitored to achieve financial objectives. * Conference room and function setups are achieved within departmental standards. * Linen is delivered and managed for appropriate par levels. Linen usage is monitored for appropriate standards for patient care. * Timekeeping duties, as assigned * Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives. * PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence are upheld. **Qualifications** **Qualifications and Experience** **Education/Degree** Required: * High School Completion or GED Preferred: * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. **Experience** Required: * Minimum of five to seven years experience in housekeeping with at least three years of supervisory responsibilities Preferred * At least five and preferably seven years or more of supervisory experience preferred. **Licensure** Required: Preferred **Skills** _(Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS,_ _etc.)_ Required: * Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software. Preferred: * Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population. * Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team. * Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them. * High level of service delivery.
