Building Location:St Marys Hospital - Detroit LakesDepartment:46641 Environmental ServicesJob Description:Manages the operational and fiscal activities of the department. Plan and develop systems and processes to improve the operating quality, safety and efficiency of the department. Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and coaching employees in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Complies with regulatory standards. Responsible for the daily operational and improvement activities of the environmental services department. Responsible to assure the environmental services are organized, directed and staffed in a manner to ensure the nutritional needs of the patients/residents are met in accordance with the practitioners orders and acceptable standards of practice. The manager plans and develops systems and processes to improve quality, service, safety and efficiency of the department and assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
This position assists in setting short-term and long-term goals and establishes priorities based on department and Essentia Health objectives. Will test and make recommendations on products, system and procedure changes and methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Is responsible for the efficient and effective utilization of assigned personnel, equipment, and supplies in carrying out department operations and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Contact with patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly, may occur while performing job responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Work Experience:
3 years of environmental service experience with demonstrated leadership ability, including project management and process improvement.Education Qualifications:
