Environmental Services Supervisor (Facility Maintenance)

Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a dynamic and talented Environment of Care Supervisor to help lead our facility maintenance and housekeeping department. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Environment of Care services for the Hospital ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care. The position's schedule is Monday - Friday daytime with some rotating on-call time. Key Responsibilities include: Under the direction of the Environment of Care Director, lead the Environment of Care Department to include Maintenance and Cleanliness of the Hospital, Safety and Security, Purchasing and Vendor Management, Hazardous Materials and Waste, Emergency Preparedness, Life Safety, Medical Equipment and Utility Systems programs Perform daily supervision of EOC staff including screening and selection of staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to the Environment of Care Director Delegate Maintenance and Housekeeping requests via Facility Dude ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for patients and staff Forecast and prepare the facility for special functions and events In the absence of the EOC Director, make decisions in regards to Environment of Care issues and ensure tasks are delegated and completed appropriately Deliver a variety of tasks involving carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs and installations test and inspection of plant systems and complete corrective and preventive maintenance prioritize work to ensure patient, staff and visitor safety/comfort at all times Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and outside vendors and provide a unified approach to providing patient care Conduct inspections and safety surveys to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies Demonstrate knowledge of the standards relating to the integrated service areas of responsibility (housekeeping & plant maintenance/safety) Meet all JCAHO, Federal, State, County, City or other governing body status of compliance to maintain licensure and/or operating certification This opportunity provides the following: *UHS is Challenging and rewarding work environment Growth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiaries A Competitive Total Compensation Package Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan 401k plan with company match and Stock Options Generous Paid Time Off and flexible scheduling Tuition Reimbursement Licensure and CEU Assistance, including onsite trainings! Qualifications High School diploma required, Some College or Trade School Completion preferred A minimum of three years' experience in plant, building, equipment and utility maintenance required; Housekeeping preferred One year of leadership experience in a lead or supervisory role, including direct personnel and staffing management A minimum of one year experience in Purchasing and Vendor Management Experience Experience with The Joint Commission, Life Safety Code and OSHA regulations preferred Work hours include day, evening, night and weekend availability due to 24-hour accountability and potential for emergencies requiring immediate attention.
