Job Description:
Full-time (40 hrs/wk) on Evening / NightsThe Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeper) is an integral member of the Intermountain team. They provide a comfortable and safe healing environment for our patients by performing comprehensive housekeeping tasks that ensure clean, sanitary and attractive facilities. They follow standard procedures in the safe disposal of infectious waste and trash and safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with Joint Commission and OSHA standards. They use supplies appropriately and effectively and report problems with equipment and with the facility in an appropriate and timely manner. The Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeper) has the opportunity to make a difference in the patients’ lives every day through their courteous and efficient service. They clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures
This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standardsPosting Specifics:
Pay Rate: Based on Experience.
Will be eligible for up to 10% shift differential due to working the evening/night shift.
Shift Details: Evening/Night (5:00pm - 1:30am) & WILL INCLUDE Rotating Weekends and Assigned holidays
Department: Environmental Services at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT
Additional Details: Needs to be able to adapt to different situations. Deal with different personalities and situations.
Incumbent needs to be comfortable working around chaos and being watched but also able to keep themselves motivated when not being directly supervised.
This is a very physical job and incumbent will be expected to stand/walk for 8 hours constantly. Will also need to be able to bend and get down and up easily. Needs to have good hand dexterity and be able to bend and lift loads. Needs to have good vision and attention to detail.
