Environmental Services Technician

One of the largest clinic systems in the Sacramento area is looking for an EVS to join their team!

Job Description:

The EVS/Janitor is responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness, and disinfecting of the Crisis Receiving for Behavioral Health (CRBH) location. The Janitor will ensure the entire location is cleaned before and after each client uses CRBH services, including floors, beds, walls, restrooms, and office spaces, in addition to the typical janitorial services. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning up bodily fluids wherever the fluids may be present and laundry duties for patient clothing and CRBH program clothing.

Essential Responsibilities:

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with patients experiencing homelessness and co-occurring disorders such as mental health, chronic medical conditions, and substance use disorders at a high acuity care facility requiring 24/7 patient support and monitoring.Manage cleaning of the building and grounds to maintain proper infection prevention care of CRBH patients under the direction of the Program Manager or designee.Clean CRBH location before and after each patient uses the services, including mopping, disinfecting, wiping down, or hosing down furniture, and may include exposure to infected blood and other bodily fluids.Maintain regular restroom cleaning and disinfecting multiple times per shift.Perform laundry duties for personal patient clothing and CRBH program clothing and bedding to ensure proper temperatures and protocols are followed for sanitizing laundry.Ensure walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the common areas of the CRBH location are properly maintained and cleaned.With the coordination of the Program Manager, review safety data sheets (SDS) as requested for potential exposure to hazardous chemicals used and take necessary precautions.Respond appropriately to patient or staff emergencies by assisting as needed.Assist with accepting supply orders and storing the items.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EVS/Housekeeping/Maintenence in a healthcare settingHigh School Diploma preferredCurrent CPR & First Aid Certification

Schedule: Must be able to work Saturdays & Sundays, 40 hours a week, 3pm-1130pm

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
