PRN position (0-40 hrs/wk) - Swing Shift (Afternoons / Evenings)The Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeper) is an integral member of the Intermountain team. They provide a comfortable and safe healing environment for our patients by performing comprehensive housekeeping tasks that ensure clean, sanitary and attractive facilities. They follow standard procedures in the safe disposal of infectious waste and trash and safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with Joint Commission and OSHA standards. They use supplies appropriately and effectively and report problems with equipment and with the facility in an appropriate and timely manner. The Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeper) has the opportunity to make a difference in the patients’ lives every day through their courteous and efficient service. This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standardsPosting Specifics
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Shift Details: PRN (0-40 hrs/wk) - SWING SHIFT position (3:00pm - 11:30pm) AND EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND MOST HOLIDAYS, THIS IS A 8 HOURS SHIFT. This position will help cover the needs of the department.
Most PRN caregivers work 2-3 shifts per week.

Essential Functions
Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.Handles and cleans up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint commission, and OSHA standards.Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Maintains work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safetySkills
