This position will report directly to the **EHS Senior Consultant** at our **Louisville, KY** location. **The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:** + With guidance from the EHS Senior Consultant and Safety & Security Lead, provide support in the following: Clean Water Act NPDES associated programs, Clean Air Act related programs, RCRA regulated waste, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Hazmat. + Assist with the following EHS functions: training, preparing reports, field work, inspections, and conducting internal audits. + Coordinate and provide assistance with venders/contractors pertaining to environmental and safety functions. + Participate in 2nd and 3rd party audits or other interactions with federal and state environmental agencies and respond to requests or notifications from environmental agencies. + Lead and/or participate in investigation of environmental and safety incidents and implement system improvements to reduce potential for future events. **The following is** **_required_** **for this role:** + Associates in a science discipline preferably in chemical or environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline. + Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in an environmental capacity preferred **The following is** **_preferred_** **for this role:** + Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. + Experience in an environmental competency such as air, hazardous waste, or water regulatory compliance, including associated permitting. + Ability to read and interpret complex regulations and to work with the site to ensure compliance. + Ability to work effectively with operations, technical and maintenance personnel and to positively interact with other EHS professionals and the business to maximize results. + Ability to take initiative, self-manage, identify what is needed and take effective action to bring about change and lead/implement change while maintaining Chemours' core values. + Detail oriented and the ability to help develop solutions. + Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and SAP plus the ability to quickly adapt to new technology. **Benefits:** Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Days We’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
