PPG seeks an Environmental Specialist! You will be responsible for managing a comprehensive environmental program for the PPG Barberton, Ohio facility. You would provide leadership, direction and training that will ensure a safe and healthful workplace for our associates while ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations to minimize current and future liabilities. Close interaction with all levels of the manufacturing, technical and engineering organizations is crucial to ensure a consistent and unified EHS message.

Key Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG environmental regulations and policies.
Leading all aspects of Title V permits, water permits (Industrial and Stormwater), Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal) for a large quantity generator.
Develop and maintain emergency response and contingency plans.
Be responsible for compliance with ISO14001 requirements; EPCRA Reporting (SARA 312 and SARA 313) and, driving continuous improvement of the environmental management process.
Develop leading indicators that drive continuous improvement in sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste) and spill incidents.
Qualifications
B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
3+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of environmental regulations.
Must possess the ability to make independent contributions, provide leadership and motivate change.
