This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for an **Environmental Specialist** for our **Tallahassee office.** This position is a contract-dedicated position supporting a client-specific program. Be involved in site contamination cleanup projects with our **Earth & Environment Team** and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact The successful candidate will facilitate assessment and cleanup of petroleum contaminated sites to protect groundwater in Florida. + Prioritize tasks, track project deliverables and deadlines and monitor progress of site assessment and remediation projects for petroleum contaminated sites in Florida. + Verify investigation data in technical reports, maps and summary tables. + Prepare site specific scopes of work for procurement of site assessment and remediation services. + Prepare written approvals and comments for project reports and deliverables. + Coordinate with team members for technical decisions and approval of deliverables. + Communicate effectively in meetings and video calls with property owners, consultants and regulatory professionals. + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Who You Are **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field. + 1 to 3 years of professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or health **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with site contamination assessment, remediation or groundwater monitoring. + Ability to organize and prioritize a complicated work load to meet established deadlines and metrics. **_Relocation assistance is not available for this position._** **\#LI-SV1** **About WSP** WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
