**Summary:**
The Supervisor, Environmental Project Services is responsible for leading and directing the activities of the Environmental Project Services organization. This position reports to the Manager, Environmental Project Services and serves as a process leader, demonstrating expertise in compliance programs related to capital construction, permitting, and environmental regulations. The Supervisor will manage a team of environmental professionals and contractors to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, drive continuous improvement, and maintain regulatory compliance, with a focus on supporting the construction of new generation assets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and develop a team of environmental professionals and contractors responsible for environmental compliance programs supporting new asset construction, including generation, solar, transmission, and distribution projects.
+ Oversee the Operating & Maintenance and capital budgets for environmental programs, ensuring appropriate controls and project risk review processes are in place.
+ Collaborate closely with key stakeholders (Project Delivery, Power Delivery, Power Development, Operations Services &Generation) to align the Environmental Project Management organization with strategic objectives, optimize processes, and ensure environmental stewardship and schedule/permitting certainty.
+ Provide environmental due diligence, permitting, and construction compliance support for new projects and acquisitions, ensuring all requirements are met within project schedules and budgets.
+ Manage the environmental processes and compliance activities for new asset construction, including permit acquisition, ecological impact evaluations, work plan development, and site inspections.
+ Oversee the performance management process for environmental professionals, setting clear performance standards to achieve environmental compliance excellence.
+ Monitor environmental regulations and legislation, provide analysis and input, and develop compliance strategies to protect Entergy's interests.
+ Support project-related environmental compliance and training programs to meet regulatory requirements.
+ Participate in the Environmental system outage emergency operations and restoration organization for major storm events, providing management and oversight of emergency environmental permitting.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant science discipline or equivalent work experience
+ 5+ years of experience handling environmental compliance activities, preferably in the utility industry
+ Proficient computer skills and experience with data management systems
+ Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance programs applicable to the electric utility industry
+ Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related field
+ Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, Certified Environmental Manager)
+ Experience in construction project management and environmental permitting
