In this role, you will lead technical and cultural change in PSM/RMP compliance. The position requires an experienced safety professional who must have exceptional communication skills, monitoring and ensuring safety compliance along with supporting, maintaining and encouraging a high level of safety cultural improvements. The position will have additional responsibilities supporting the Site EHS Manager on additional initiatives as assigned.

This position has been designated as On-Site.
What you will do:
Manage all environmental programs such as Non-Title V air permit, SPCC, SWPPP, Small Quantity Generator, prepare Tier II and TRI reports, manage onsite waste water treatment plant. Lead a sustainability team with goal of reducing facility waste. Supervise 2 hourly technicians, who perform a variety of EHS tasks. Overall responsibility to ensure EHS Standard Work is implemented and layered audits are conducted and adhered to based on Trane Technologies business operating system (BOS) Ensure systems are in place to address and monitor to achieve compliance with all OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies Provide professional problem-solving input to both short term and long-term issues. Implement reduction of work site incidents/accidents in alignment with EH&S reduction goals process system requirement and including performance of root cause analysis on accidents/ injuries to determine specific actions needed to prevent reoccurrence Provide timely information on performance trends, root cause corrective actions for incidences and near misses Ensure monthly environmental data and utility usage is logged monthly into company information system. Present weekly updates on trends and progress in reduction or improvement efforts. Support employee engagement around EH&S PSM and other key initiatives of the leadership team. Manage and implement the EHS Management System requirements Supports the launch of all activities needed to incorporate standard work for PSM Develop a culture of process discipline around leaders following PSM Utilize most cost-effective means to remain current on information, legislation, and technical advances within EHS and understand their impact on assigned operations Supports site with PSM integration and operations activities, which includes due diligence and other needed EHS requirements Coordinate PSM safety training/orientation of employees and ensure training is current and meets regulatory requirements. Working with other leaders to identify improvement in existing training and introductions of new, best practice training tools and resources. Ensuring proper documentation of all safety-related training.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety, safety sciences, safety engineering, environmental science/engineering or other engineering degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution 3+ years of related EHS management Proven skills with implementation and leadership of complex safety programs and procedures Experience in leading Management of Change processes Comprehensive knowledge of the OSHA, PSM, and EPA regulations, experience in the Interpretation of local and state environmental and safety and standards
Key Competencies:
Results oriented, manufacturing process background with extensive Process Safety Management experience One or more safety-related professional certifications desired (i.e. CHMM, CSP) Knowledge with material concerns (metals & VOC’s) and familiarity with most effective methods of utilization/exposure reduction and control Solid experience in Environmental laws (Waste, air and Water) Demonstrated experience in the integration of EHS into the manufacturing process preferred Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of leadership and plant personnel Computer and analytical skills, high motivation and passion for EHS management with need for minimal direction Six Sigma Green Belt certification, familiarity with lean manufacturing tools including basic problem solving (BPS)Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000
