Environmental Technician
**Job Title: Environmental Technician** **Job Description** The Environmental Technician will be responsible for segregating and packaging materials for transport, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. This role involves maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials, adhering to safety procedures, and operating heavy equipment. The technician will complete paperwork accurately and perform additional duties as assigned. **Responsibilities** + Segregate and package materials for transport, completing required paperwork in accordance with regulations and company policies. + Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials according to regulations and company procedures. + Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis procedures as outlined in company policies. + Operate fork trucks and other heavy equipment, with proper training, to move containers for storage, treatment, and loading/unloading of trailers. + Complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner. + Perform related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by the supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Environmental science + Hazwoper certification + General labor experience + Mechanical skills + Experience with hazardous waste + Ability to wear a respirator and willingness to shave facial hair/beard if necessary **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. + Ability to read, write, and speak in English. + Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, such as a forklift, and possesses a safe driving record. **Why Work Here?** We offer weekly pay, contract-to-hire opportunities, and accept entry-level candidates. All PPE, except for steel-toed boots, is provided. Employees will wear a uniform, which they will keep in their locker and change into at the beginning and end of each shift. Shifts are from 6:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) with overtime on Saturdays from 6:00am-12:00pm, and 2:00pm-10:30pm (Mon-Fri) with overtime on Saturdays. The role includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
