Hardware Validation Project Leader

Mission of the Role: Identification of product defects through testing in controlled environments to ensure product durability. The Hardware Validation Project Leader must balance technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership qualities to drive success.

Key Objectives of this Role:

Plan, organized, and monitored environmental validation testing, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. Review customer validation requirements and define testing criteria. Manage test equipment development and tracking delivery before test campaigns start. Ensure that validation activities align with Visteon and the customer’s objectives. Create a quotation considering the test validation scope, while ensuring alignment with specified deadlines and project targets. Coordinate resources and activities as required to support the timely competition of testing and escalating potential delays of environmental testing. Collaborate with other functions to align the validation plan contents. Report the test results to the product development team. Facilitate discussions between departments to support issue resolution during validation test campaigns. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues in environmental validation processes.

Demonstrates the ability to work independently on assigned projects. Effectively problem solving. Maintains clear and proactive communication with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration. Consistently meets project deadlines with high-quality outcomes.

Key Year One Deliverables: Lead the environmental validation of a forward or current project test campaign. Create strong and effective collaboration with the Engineering team to ensure seamless and efficient execution of the project.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

University degree in Electronics or relevant area. Preferred environmental validation experience (EMC, Climatic, Mechanical testing). Automotive standards knowledge is a plus. Time and project management skills. Fluent English verbal and written communication skills. Experience with JIRA beneficial. Proficient in MS Office.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Associate Manager of the Hardware Validation Project Leader’s team located in Sofia, Bulgaria.
