The Opportunity:
KBR is currently undertaking Expression of Interest applications for Senior Security Advisors for various Maritime Programs in our Capability Sustainment and Modernisation operational unit.
You will provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of security ensuring KBR is compliant with company and government policies and procedures.
The Senior Security Advisor will develop and implement security plans and procedures in coordination with management personnel and will facilitate security awareness programs to maintain security education across all KBR staff.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
Provide subject matter expertise to the program on all security related matters (cybersecurity, personnel, facilities)Initiating, deactivating, and/or transferring security clearancesMaintain security registers (personnel and facilities)Conduct security compliance checks and auditing in accordance with auditing policiesCyber threat intelligence integration and huntingConduct pre-sales activities to support cybersecurity Request for Information (RFI) / Request for Tender (RFT) on behalf of KBRDeliver security awareness and insider threat training packages to all staff on an annual basisComply with KBR business practices, State, and Federal legislationAs the ideal candidate you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity or related field with relevant industry experienceDeep understanding of DISP, DSPF, Australian Cyber Security Policy, and understands the cybersecurity challenges in the Defence and Defence Industry sectorExtensive experience in managing and advising on security matters within Defence or related technical industry (CASG/Defence/Defence Industry)Successful completion of Security Officer training course with relevant industry experience as a Security OfficerDemonstrated leadership and organisational skillsProject management qualifications/experience desiredThe ability to maintain an NV-1 minimum Australian Government Security ClearanceAll candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV-1 Clearance or above should apply.
