Registered Nurse - EP Lab
Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Electrophysiology (EP) Lab team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures. Working alongside our skilled Radiologic Technologists and physicians, you will ensure the highest level of patient care and safety during EP procedures such as ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, and lead extractions. This position is ideal for an RN with a passion for heart health and advanced electrophysiology care, contributing to a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care throughout all stages of electrophysiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery.Collaborate with physicians and Radiologic Technologists to assist in complex electrophysiology interventions such as atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, and lead extractions.Ensure patient safety by providing real-time monitoring of hemodynamics, EKG, and patient response during procedures.Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and provide emotional support during their care.Coordinate and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Maintain aseptic technique, manage complications, and provide life-saving interventions when necessary, such as recognizing signs of stroke, air emboli, or anaphylactic reactions.Promote a compassionate, collaborative, and healing environment, working closely with other healthcare professionals in the EP Lab.Participate in continuous education to stay current with electrophysiology practices, safety standards, and hospital protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university. Applicants with an Associate’s degree in Nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program within 12 months of hire and must achieve the degree within 5 years.Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of a dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
