Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations
1. Job responsibilities include those listed in competencies document.
2. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and
co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
3. Analyzes, designs, and modifies software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing
to support implementation of one or more software modules. system preference modifications,
documentation, training or sharing of system functions as appropriate.
4. Provides more advanced technical expertise than that of an Epic Applications Analyst I.
5. Serves as a liaison between the IT Department, vendors and clients for multiple systems/applications.
6. Gathers and works with departments to prioritize development initiatives and activities.
7. Provides analysis of workflow and implements solutions to meet department needs.
8. Provides technical/application assistance to clients and IT staff as appropriate.
9. Assists with coordination of system upgrades and large projects and provides support as required.
10. Completes tasks on time and meets assignment dates.
11. Ensures system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.
12. Creates and maintains all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing
for supported applications.
13. Participates in an on-call rotation schedule, to include daily, after hours, weekends, providing 24x7 client
support as necessary.
14. Participates in support for systems both daily and during implementations.
15. Works collaboratively with IT Educators to ensure system feature and function modifications are shared with
educators so training plans and documentation can be updated appropriately.
16. Serves as a mentor to Epic Applications Analyst I.
17. Occasional travel to other offices to accommodate user needs.
18. Occasional travel for training classes, implementations and conferences.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Training:
· Minimum of two years Epic build experience.
· Minimum of three years of computer system application modifications and support experience.
· Minimum of three years of PC-oriented experience to include basic word processing and spreadsheets.
· Presentation, communication and interpersonal skills required.
· Ability to multi-task.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
· Epic Certification or Accreditation.
