Summary:

The EMR Application Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing applications to achieve organizational goals. Responsible for direct supervision of staff. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate confidence, creativity, effective organizational and project management skills, and a service orientation combined with solid technical skills. Demonstrated leadership ability, effectiveness in supervising, evaluating, training, discipline and motivating staff. Demonstrated effectiveness in problem-solving and implementation of new programs.


Experience/Education Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Health, Science, BusinessMinimum of 3 years’ experience in information technology in the healthcare environment combined with experience in managing projects and resources.


License or Certification Requirements:

EPIC Certification

 

Responsibilities:

Assist with hiring, orienting, training, conduct performance evaluations, handle disciplinary issues, and provide an open and service-oriented work environment with established clear and concise work procedures and productivity goals and strong levels of employee engagement.Collaborate with analysts, technical staff and application owners with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.Develop, establish and implement department goals and objectives in collaboration with EMR Director.Develop, implement and enforce organizational and department-specific policies and procedures.Identify timelines and staffing requirements and supervise the work of all direct reports to ensure effective and efficient departmental operations.In collaboration with stakeholders and departmental leadership, ensure compliance with regulatory and audit agency requirements.Manage the operation, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of information technology applications.Participates in change management responsibilities.Responsible for assisting EMR Director with customer satisfaction, vendor contracts and associated invoices, quality control, problem management and resolution within product lines.Serve as resource, primary advisor, and mentor for all direct reports.Develop personnel by providing opportunities and training to enhance individual employee's career development.Work with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for existing and new implementations.
