Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
This role provides technical support in the successful implementation and ongoing utilization of the Epic Gold application within CommonSpirit Health. The Physician Enterprise (PE) Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Informatics Coordinator will be responsible for troubleshooting user issues, providing direct support and training to optimize system usage, soliciting user feedback, escalating complex problems, and identifying potential safety/quality issues for referral to the Epic Gold Informatics team. The position requires excellent customer service, communication, and critical thinking skills, along with a strong understanding of EHR functionality and workflows, and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and organizational needs. Moderate travel may be required to support application activities at various locations.

Effective and weekly communication updates for downstream PE RCM and stakeholder teams to include Finance and Operations learning effectiveness.

Development and implementation of continuous improvement plans for the Epic Gold implementation and post GO LIVE. This includes managing multiple applications within the Epic Gold project simultaneously and collaborating with all levels of management to identify initiatives to enhance the financial and quality goals of the implementation. Contribute to day-to-day assignments for cross-functional and assigned team members and ensure compliance in the use of governance forms and processes, along with corporate standards. Understand, communicate, and follow overall strategy.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProvide leadership and oversight for the PE RCM Epic Gold implementation and Post GO LIVE support including goal setting, support for technical and training needs, communication, and effective measurement of the project. Stakeholders and partners include National leadership, market leadership and super users for all teams and users to learn and succeed in current roles. Troubleshooting and resolving user issues, delivering effective training and support to optimize system utilization, and proactively identifying and reporting potential safety or quality-of-care concerns are key. Direct interaction with users across various care settings, gathering feedback to improve workflows, and escalating complex technical problems as needed will be essential for this role.Contribute to the aspects of training and changes reported or needed for the GO LIVE or Post GO LIVE. Track requests and timing for calculation of effective resolution and rate of change. Possess a comprehensive understanding of EHR functionality, workflows, and related operational procedures. Effective communication with department management to ensure timely resolution of identified issues is crucial. Success in this position demands excellent customer service, strong problem-solving.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, HRIT or related field, experience with Epic or similar applications, proven success of providing technical support or
training in a healthcare setting, particularly with EHR systems, is highly desirable. This candidate should possess at least five years of related healthcare work experience (including system and implementation knowledge) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates attainment of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be substituted for two years of the education requirement (associate degree in related field required).

Familiarity with physician or professional services billing is preferred. Customer service skills are paramount. Experience with training methodologies and adult learning principles is beneficial.Strong skills to include presentation, interpersonal, and rapport-buildingskills are required.Ability to complete tasks and escalate issues to the stakeholders and decision-makers, as necessary.Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects, multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities and adapt to change.Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, ability to troubleshoot, and initiative-taking.Demonstrates qualities of assertiveness, a high sense of urgency, initiative (initiative-taker), effective communication skills including presentation
