We are seeking an Epic Database Administrator for an enterprise healthcare organization. You will get to join a well-tenured team that has a very stable environment. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks related to their Epic database environment including but not limited to day-to-day support, upgrades, maintenance, patching project work, performance tuning, monitoring, etc. This team is also working on a project to migrate to the cloud including Microsoft Azure as well as migrating from IBM AIX to Redhat Linux and have several Epic upgrades planned.

Required Skills:

Must have at least 5 as an enterprise Database Administrator, specifically with EPIC

Strong knowledge and skills surrounding performance tuning capabilities of a large-scale enterprise database environments with real time replication

Experience supporting InterSystems Caché/IRIS

Someone who enjoys a mix of day to day support, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades and project work

Ability to read existing scripting languages such as Bash

Desired Skills:

Epic certification strongly desired

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience or interest in supporting other databases such as Oracle a plus not a must

Experience working in a Redhat Linux environment helpful not required

Desire to get experience/exposure to cloud based technologies such as Microsoft Azure
