This role is a HYBRID position requiring frequent on-site work. Must be within a commutable distance.
Epic certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory Epic training sessions.
Must be available to travel for Epic training the week of 3/31/2025.
Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is preferred.2 - 3 years of experience working with Epic systems or similar EHR platforms preferably in Epic Clarity and Caboodle data modelsHigh School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.Familiarity with healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements, and industry normsEpic certification in Caboodle Development for Clarity Data and Non-Epic Data preferredPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with partners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Epic Clarity and Caboodle data extraction and reporting.Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes to extract data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases.Create and handle data models, dashboards, and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Crystal Reports.Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.Resolve data discrepancies and issues through data validation and finding solutions.Provide support and training to end-users on the use of BI tools and reports.Work closely with the Epic implementation team to ensure seamless integration of Clarity and Caboodle data with other systems and applications.Participate in data governance and data quality initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.Stay updated with the latest developments in Epic Clarity, Caboodle, and BI technologies and standard methodologies.Assist in improving the performance of BI solutions by optimizing capacity and tuning performance.Document data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and BI solutions for future reference and maintenance.Collaborate with IT and data management teams to ensure data security and privacy standards are met.Participate in project planning and management activities to ensure timely delivery of BI solutions.Serving as the main point of contact for technical issues and general inquiries related to assigned applicationsLeading upgrades of assigned applications with Epic by setting timelines, maintaining continuous communication, and addressing issuesAnalyzing and communicating the impact of issuesTriaging requests and resolving priority of issuesResolving end‐user application issues using Epic documentation and ensuring business needs are metAdvancing end‐user problems to the appropriate level ﴾such as team lead﴿ when necessaryValidating solutions are complete and appropriately implementedEstablishing relationships with end users and providing consistent support through day‐to‐day communicationCommunicating problem status and solutions to end users#LI-CD1
