This role is a HYBRID position requiring frequent on-site work. Must be within a commutable distance.
Epic certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory Epic training sessions.
Must be available to travel for Epic training the week of 3/31/2025.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is preferred.2 - 3 years of experience working with Epic systems or similar EHR platforms preferably in data conversion or a related field.High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.Epic Bridges Certification preferred.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the entire cycle of one or more data types for legacy data conversion, including analysis, data element mapping, testing and validation, error resolution, and production loads.Work closely with application teams, domain experts, and third-party application experts to determine business needs, document requirements, and configure conversion interfaces per the requirements. Partner with these groups to diagnose and resolve conversion-related issues and validate usability with end users.Identify and advance risks associated with technical project tasks and legacy data source systems.Coordinate application build requirements for conversion.Communicate with applications, third-party vendors, legacy system technical resources, and operations collaborators.Define and complete setup for the transport method by which extracted source system data will be communicated to Epic, including fix data transport mechanisms.Understand Epic data structures and document technical specifications detailing target data elements.Interpret scope and business requirements for each dataset.Analyze and manipulate large volumes of external data into an appropriate format for filing into Epic.Serving as the main point of contact for technical issues and general inquiries related to assigned applicationsWorking in collaboration with Epic to implement new projects ﴾such as a new module﴿Managing upgrades of assigned applications with Epic by setting timelines, maintaining continuous communication, and addressing issuesAnalyzing and communicating the impact of issuesTriaging requests and determining the priority of issuesAdvancing end‐user problems to the appropriate level ﴾such as team lead﴿ when necessaryValidating solutions are complete and appropriately implementedBuilding relationships with end users and providing consistent support through day‐to‐day communicationCommunicating problem status and solutions to end users#LI-CD1
