The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enable OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.

Function/Duties of Position

This position as Senior Epic Healthy Planet Population Health Application Analyst will design applications or workflow specifications for some of the most complex and critical OHSU systems and applications.

Specifically, the Sr. Analyst will spend 50% of their time on as follows: (1) Perform EpicCare, Healthy

Planet, Regulatory quailty metric, and Predictive Model system build and maintenance (2) Assume project management responsibilities for medium to large projects or sub-projects as assigned (3) Respond to issues and change requests submitted by Epic end users and OHSU leadership, making recommendations on options to meet present and future system and customer needs (4) mentor and provide training to less senior and experienced team members, and acts as a lead to other analysts on certain projects to ensure that deliverables and objectives are met (5) Author reports and perform analysis relevant to Population Health & Regulatory reporting (6) up to 50% of remaining time, supports OHSU Health Services on analyst and Epic build efforts.  OHSU Health Services support will include: (1) Epic Certified HEDIS build and maintenance; (2) Analysis of exernal data site imports for value contracts (3) Reporting and analyses using Epic integrated reporting tools and PowerBI.

Required Qualifications

Education: 

Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or a clinical field and six years work related

experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

 

Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field or a clinical field and seven years work related

experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

 

Eight years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

 

Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

 

Experience: 

3+ years experience in Healthcare Information Systems analysis, development and implementation, specifically EpicCare and/or Epic Healthy Planet.

This position is 100% remote with the exception of occasional onsite meetings.
