You Are:

UST is searching for an Epic Patient Access Analyst who will create and execute project plans, estimates timeframes, outlines specific tasks, and identifies resources needed to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

 

The opportunity:

·       Monitor progress to keep projects on track by conducting regular project meetings and following up with areas that need assistance.

·       Analyze data processing needs; research and evaluate software on multiple platforms to assist users to meet their departmental goals; assist in developing the evaluation criteria for software.

·       Determine operating characteristics and requirements; develop or modify and document general system design; write detailed design specifications; conduct 'walkthroughs' for proposed solutions to system problems.

·       Conduct feasibility studies; evaluate vendor products; make recommendations based on user requirements and systems analysis to ensure adequate planning.

·       Monitor the maintenance and enhancement of complex computer and telecommunications systems to ensure proper functionality; provide support, analysis, coordination, and assistance for networks, including disaster recovery.

·       Troubleshoot software problems through telephone and site visit support; provide technical assistance in planning, engineering, and architecture of unique systems for diverse applications; implement solutions to problems.

·       Conduct user training and develop user training materials.

·       Create, update, and maintain project documentation materials.

·       May install and maintain software; facilitate communication between clients and vendors regarding system maintenance issues; perform non-routine adds, moves, and changes as needed.

·       Test and modify software for network compatibility; participate in the detailed design and development of new applications; may write database applications.

·       Update system software and modify system configurations; facilitate data communication between systems platforms.

·       Participate and represent the department in computer user meetings or meetings of related committees.

·       Create and generate reports and statistics to meet user and program requirements and interface with other departments, jurisdictions, and users on regulations and reporting requests.

·       Conduct database systems analysis and designs; may perform data normalization tasks; assist in developing relational databases; assist in performance of data conversion tasks and maintenance of data dictionaries.

·       Develop the testing of integration solutions (including data validation).

·       Schedule and facilitate status, build and testing meetings, and other activities as required.

·       Lead the Patient Access systems analysis, design and build, project planning, implementation and testing, and conversions testing.

·       Work closely with EMR integration product managers to ensure they meet deadlines, provide status updates, and escalate issues.

·       Build in-house DPH technical capacity and provide knowledge transfer before contract completion.

·       As a member of the SFDPH Patient Access Applications team, share responsibilities for support of the Epic Patient Access application.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Domain / Industry Knowledge: A working knowledge of standard business processes within the relevant industry vertical and customer business domain.

·       Technology Trends Knowledge: Demonstrates working knowledge of technology trends related to one technology and an awareness of technology trends related to at least two technologies.

·       Architecture: Working knowledge of product architecture elements such as client server/SOA based, configuration parameters; may specialize in one or more areas

·       Product Features / Functionality: A working knowledge of the product.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location:   Remote

Compensation Range:   $152,000-$228,000

 

A successful employee in this role may be eligible for incentive payments based on company and individual performance.

Certain regular employees may have the potential for quarterly incentive-based bonuses and or commissions depending on role.

 

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
