Epic Phoenix Lead & Builder
Position Summary

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

Enterprise Epic Implementation; A 2 year assignment working for Deloitte; Primarily remote work with scheduled time onsite with the client.  Deloitte has been engaged as their Implementation Partner and will operate with a hands-on "Coach and Advise" model of support to their IT Team. 

We are looking for an experienced team lead to support/coach/advise the client team with tasks throughout the implementation cycle - Design/Workflows, System Build, Testing, Upgrades, and Activation.

Under direction of the Applications Manager, the Application Analyst I/II is a specialist in their respective Epic Application(s) and supports core functions of the health system's processes

Responsible for Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation as well as application support and issue resolutionInteracts with Operational and IT personnel in identifying, evaluating and configuring systems to meet user and organizational requirementsMaintains high credibility and ownership of system activities within assigned applicationWorks directly with Operations and provides input on system design and capabilitiesDevelops system design, including functional specifications and strategies, based upon the analysis of specific operational needsAnalyze operational requirements and system capabilities to propose effective solutionsUnderstand workflow practices and how to apply to system configuration in support of Operational/IT strategies, issues, and prioritiesPerforms unit, system, and integration testing per standards and documents outcomesWork with Application Team to ensure applications are well supported and implementations are properly executedFollow defined standards, promote best practice principles, and participate in change control processOptimizes, maintains and supports application/system as requiredParticipates effectively as a team member to achieve team goals and objectivesProvides on-call support, troubleshoots and resolves production support issues during Activation as applicableInitiates escalation proceduresIdentify potential issues and refer more complex issues to appropriate level of supportBuilds rapport and always promotes teamwork by maintaining a professional and positive attitude, working to maintain open and professional lines of communication with all end users and colleagues, and utilizing key change management principlesLead meetings as needed, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts and manage a project planMeet application deliverables, project timelines, and delivery weekly status reportingTimely project and data tracking with input of weekly time trackingPerforms other related duties assigned by supervisorIn an emergency, performs other duties necessary for the welfare of patients or the efficient operations of the institutionCommunicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.  Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.

Qualifications

Required

Current Epic Phoenix and Ambulatory Certification5+ years of recent experience with an implementation in the Healthcare IndustryExperience in application build and go-live, along with extensive experience in implementation, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and supportDemonstrative understanding of technical documentationBachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalentexperienceLimited immigration sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you servePreferred
Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPointAnalytical/ decision making responsibilitiesAnalytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work productsCan operate independently or with minimum supervisionExcellent written and communication skillsAbility to deliver technical demonstrations
