This position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the Epic training environment, training materials and methods for clinical and non-clinical end users. Principal trainers work with the Training Manager and application analysts to develop and maintain the training program for their application. The Principal Trainers will become certified in the application(s) they support and are responsible for obtaining an in-depth understanding of the software, policies and procedures, and workflows for each application. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS · Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or clinical related field or equivalent work experience. · 3 – 5 years’ experience in the healthcare field in a hospital or medical center clinical setting with experience desired in the building, implementing, and supporting clinical application systems. · 3 – 5 years’ demonstrated experience facilitation classroom, on-line and one-on-one training. · Strong presentation skills, effective communication and organization skills, interpersonal skills. · Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
