This role is a HYBRID position requiring frequent on-site work. Must be within a commutable distance.
Epic certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory Epic training sessions.
Must be available to travel for Epic training the week of 3/31/2025.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field preferred.
5 years of demonstrated experience working with Epic systems, Epic Beaker CP implementations in a healthcare setting or similar laboratory applications
High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Epic Beaker CP Certification preferred.
Lab tech experience preferred.
Lab middleware certification or familiarity preferred.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and configuration of the Beaker CP module ensuring it meets the specific needs of clinical departments.
Coordinate and collaborate with laboratory staff, including pathologists, lab technicians, and administrative personnel, to gather requirements and ensure the system meets their needs.
Plan and design the customization of the Beaker CP module to align with the clinical and operational requirements.
Lead the system configuration, including overseeing the setting up lab workflows, specimen processing, and integration with other Epic modules.
Identify opportunities and make recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize the use of the Beaker CP module.
Collaborate and work closely with other Epic analysts, IT staff, and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration of the Beaker CP module with other Epic modules and systems.
Coordinate thorough system testing, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the system meets quality and performance standards before go-live.
Develop training materials and lead training sessions for end-users, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure effective use of the system.
Oversee and provide ongoing support, troubleshooting and enhancements for the application and system post-implementation, addressing user issues and concerns promptly.
Lead regular meetings and communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
