The analyst assists in optimizing workflow processes through building applications that are standardized to meet the health system needs. The Analyst will review and implement new application features for upgrades and apply special update packages, along with enhancement requests and ticket resolution.

Essential Accountabilities:
· Support new and current project development, including system analysis, planning and preparation and act as the primary resource dedicated to designing, building, testing, and implementation in collaboration with appropriate departments.
· Use independent analysis and research issues to produce solution options including pros, cons, risks, benefits, and unintended consequences.
· Detects and anticipates problems early, identify trends, acts as second level of support while mentoring and assisting in training of support staff.
· Develop, support and maintain documentation and procedures as needed. Acts as a resource to coworkers regarding build and workflow in application areas.
· Collaborate with other IT analysts and vendors to identify system optimization and enhancements in order to design and implement effective solutions.
· Attend meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, an updates.
· Travel to various locations, including occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
· Achieves and maintains certification status in assigned application(s) and working knowledge of other related applications.
· Develop and maintain models and documentation of operations, business and system requirements and configure system accordingly.
· Contribute to preparation of testing scripts and materials and perform unit, system, and integrated testing tasks.
· Provide support and proactive service, by phone and through regular onsite visits, to assess user needs including analysis of opportunities to take advantage of existing workflows and tools.
· Work with training team to develop application specific training curriculums and materials.
· Work closely with end users to identify business needs and the cost and benefits of implementing a solution. Log, track, analyze, resolve issues, and coordinate system changes.
· Complete project tasks within the defined project deadlines.
· Champion the EHR, provide support in the ongoing implementations, optimizations, and upgrades.
· Participate in the on call support schedule as defined by the supporting on call policy.
Experience
· Minimum of 5-7 years recent healthcare information systems or clinical management systems experience. Epic experience preferred. Large scale healthcare systems planning and implementation experience on application software products.
· Familiarity with Pharmacy formulary distribution and billing systems. Working knowledge of computerized reference databases such as MicroMedex, Clinical Pharmacology, Facts & Comparisons
· Working knowledge of applicable pharmacy order entry and dispensing automation systems.
· Experience with other pharmacy systems a plus.
· Up-to-date knowledge of drug laws and agency regulations, including but not limited to DEA, FDA, OSHA, TJC, PA DOH, and Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy
· Up-to-date knowledge of drugs carried on Formulary and new drugs introduced to the market
Education:
Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, degree from an accredited university program required. Advanced training or master's degree in Information Services preferred.
Licensures/Certifications:
· Current Epic certification(s) and/or appropriate certifications as defined by role (if applicable to application (s) or must be willing to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completed testing.
· Pennsylvania pharmacy license or eligibility for one within probationary period, and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy required.
