This role is a HYBRID position requiring frequent on-site work. Must be within a commutable distance.
Epic certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory Epic training sessions.
Must be available to travel for Epic training the week of 3/31/2025.
Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
2-3 years of experience working with Epic systems or similar EHR platform required.
High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Epic certification in EpicCare Ambulatory preferred.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and configuration of the EpicCare Ambulatory EHR module ensuring it meets the specific needs of clinical departments.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of current clinical workflows and processes to determine requirements for the EpicCare Ambulatory module.
Customize the EpicCare Ambulatory EHR module to align with the clinical and operational requirements.
Develop detailed system specifications, configuration settings, and workflow documentation to guide the implementation process.
Ensure the effective implementation and optimization of Care Everywhere, SmartForms, Meaningful Use, and specialty modules to enhance real-time clinical documentation, patient monitoring, and workflow efficiency for healthcare providers.
Participate in the planning and execution of the EpicCare Ambulatory implementation, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, IT professionals, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the EpicCare Ambulatory system.
Conduct thorough system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the system meets quality and performance standards before go-live.
Develop training materials and participate in training sessions for end-users, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure effective use of the EpicCare Ambulatory system.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the EpicCare Ambulatory system post-implementation, addressing user issues and concerns promptly.
