Job Description: Electrical Engineer

Position: Electrical Engineer

Experience: Industrial power systems (e.g., glass furnace electric boosting systems, electric furnaces & ovens, load tap changers, SCR controls)

Responsibilities:

Practical experience in working with EPLAN P8Planning and creation of electrical circuit diagrams, parts lists in EPLAN- preferably P8 and EPlanWork directly with customers throughout all project stagesManage multiple electrical engineering client projects simultaneouslyAssist clients with power studies, utility company coordination, medium voltage substation design, and electrical equipment/system specificationsDevelop contractor installation/construction packages, including conduit/cable tray installation drawings, equipment location plans/elevations, and specificationsCreate electrical schematics, including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I/O drawings, and 480V motor 1-line & 3-line schematicsCoordinate with electrical contractors onsite to oversee construction and address technical questionsTravel to customer sites approximately 20% of the year for installations (rarely includes international travel)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have:

Engineering experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments (e.g., glass, steel, graphite industries)Experience with industrial power systems (e.g., glass furnace electric boosting systems, electric furnaces & ovens, load tap changers, SCR controls)Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university6+ years of related experience

Plus:

Experience in power studies, medium voltage substation design, and electrical equipment/system specification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00
