Responsibilities Serves as an Equal Employment Specialist for the Defense Contract Management Agency EEO Program. Identifies, monitors and resolves any employment related discrimination associated with the administration of the federal sector complaint process. Analyzes the program effectiveness and initiatives for program involvement, serving as a subject matter expert on EEO matters. Provides guidance and assistance to DCMA officials in seeking resolution to problems connected with complaints of employment discrimination. Serves as an EEO intake specialist for counseling and processing informal and formal complaints and makes recommendations on suitability of resolutions to Equal Employment Manager or Complaints Manager. Monitors the status of assigned EEO complaints for DCMA and carries out all administrative coordination and written documentation as a result of EEO complaints. Provides technical guidance and assistance to Aggrieved/Complainants, Management Officials, Witnesses, EEO Counselors and investigators. Prepares all correspondence relative to a formal complaints. Assists with the other EEO Programs (Special Emphasis Program and Disability Program) with developing events and informational resources related to the Programs. Provides input for the planning and development of the EEOC Management Directive 715. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for an Equal Employment Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Applying Equal Employment laws and guidelines to EEO complaints processing, Managing and processing informal and formal EEO complaints which includes conducting initial intake/interviews, drafting Counselor's Reports, Notice of Right to File, Notice of Acceptance Letters, and reviewing report of investigations. Gathering relevant data for EEO investigations and organize and bookmark case files, updating automated complaint tracking systems. Researching and interpreting EEO laws, policies and procedures with the ability experience to provide workforce training relative to the EEO complaint related laws, policies and procedures. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
