This is a Contract role

Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician for a contract, hourly position. You will be responsible for assembling automated test and assembly equipment designed by our in-house engineers. This role involves working with both mechanical and electrical systems, requiring a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual who can work independently and collaboratively.

Your Responsibilities

Assemble automated test and assembly equipment based on designs provided by in-house engineers. This includes both mechanical and electrical components. Aggregate and interpret various forms of documentation, such as bills of materials (BOM), schematics, and CAD models, to accurately assemble equipment. Work with engineers to understand assembly requirements and resolve any technical issues that arise during the assembly process. Set up and run basic functional tests on equipment to ensure proper operation before deployment. Manage tasks independently, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assembly projects. Occasionally assist in procuring tools and parts necessary for equipment assembly, although this is not a primary responsibility.

Skills/Qualifications

Proven experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role, preferably with automated equipment. Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, and CAD models. Basic knowledge of functional testing procedures for assembled equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills for collaborating with engineers and other team members. Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Preferred Skills

Experience with automated test and assembly equipment. Familiarity with procurement processes for tools and parts. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

 

Pay Range: $25/hr - $30/hr

Pay dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
